Gerry wore many hats during his long 10 decades of life. Like actress Betty White, who passed away New Year’s Eve just a few weeks before her 100th birthday, it’s sad Gerry couldn’t add centenarian to his pedigree.
During this time of COVID-19, most visitors to care facilities are being limited. For Willamette Valley Hospice patients living in care facilities, this means the trusted visitors they have relied on – hospice aides, music therapists, and spiritual counselors – are not allowed to visit. Some care facilities are only allowing hospice registered nurses in. Recently music therapist Jessica and spiritual counselor Lori visited a patient outside her window to play her a song on her birthday to remind her how much they care.
